Epocrates develop a number of applications for smartphones and PDAs which give provide reference information for prescription drugs to medical professionals. Available on Symbian, Android and Palm devices, as well as the iPhone, Epocrates products are used by 950,000 people worldwide and in excess of 40% of US physicians. The new ‘Contact Manufacturer’ feature is initially available on just the iPhone and iPod Touch, with a ‘Contact Pfizer’ option available in the profile of over 40 different Pfizer manufactured drugs.
